​Tanker 15 was dispatched to the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Airport for a report of an incoming plane with landing gear problems. Command placed all units on standby at station. The plane landed without incident, all units returned to service.


#155     Sep 27     08:07          Automatic Fire Alarm

Engine 15 responded to 119 Griffin Road (ELMHURST) for an activated commercial fire alarm. Assisting apparatus on the alarm box were Tanker 7-Moscow and Tower 14-Covington. The building was evacuated while crews walked through and determined it was an accidental alarm.

Rescue 15 resonded to Rte 435 (ROARING BROOK) for a vehicle roll-over. Rescue and Ladder 6 also responded on the dual dispatch. Station 7 EMS  transported one patient.

Station 15 and Tanker 7/EMS were dispatched to Elmwood Drive (ELMHURST) for an activated residential alarm. Comm Center reported a proper passcode was provided by the homeowner. Ch 15-2 investigated and reported an accidental trip.

​Engine 15 responded to Route 435 (ELMHURST) for an activated automatic alarm system. Investigation found no signs of trouble. The homeowner was to schedule service with the alarm company. Also responding were Tanker 7 and Sta. 7 EMS.

​Station 15, with Moscow Fire and Hamlin 67-3, responded to Summit Woods Road (ROARING BROOK)  for an activated residential fire alarm. This turned out to be a cooking incident....all units returned to service.

​Station 15 and the Mutual Aid structure box responded to Pioneer Place (ELMHURST) for a report of smoke in the building. This turned out to be a cooking incident. Units not already on scene were returned to service. Crews from Sta. 15 and 7 initiated ventilation practices to clear the building.

#153     Sep 20     16:58          Electrical Problem

​Station 15 responded, along with a box alarm assignment from Stations 7/14/29/56. Reported as an

electrical problem on St. Mary's Villa Road. This turned out to be a water leak that affected an electrical breaker. Technicians were called to the scene to fix. All units returned to service.

​Brush 15 was dispatched to Aston Mountain Road (SPRINGBROOK) for a report of a tree down, blocking the roadway. Command 53 investigated and placed our brush unit back into service.

The annual Fire Alarm/Fire Drill evaluation was conducted at Pioneer Place, St. Mary's Villa campus (ELMHURST)

Rescue 15 responded to Rte. 307 at Homestead Drive (ROARING BROOK) for a two car crash. Rescue crew set up a safety zone and assisted EMS with patient evaluation.
